New WhyPark Enhancements
It's been a busy few months at WhyPark since the Parked.com acquisition. We recently had the opportunity to meet with new and old customers and connect with partners at multiple domain conferences including the Domain Roundtable in D.C. and T.R.A.F.F.I.C. in California and Amsterdam. We've also been chipping away at new updates while enhancing current features as well. This week, we've launched the following:
Zero Stock Articles on Home Page Option
Customers who prefer to add unique content themselves or utilize our content writing services, have been asking to have the option to remove our stock content from the homepage. We have made this option available now. In the site settings for a single domain, or in bulk, you can now choose to show 0 WhyPark articles on the homepage, and instead, show only your custom pages.
Template Images
We continue to add approximately 200 new images per week to be used with our dynamic image templates. These templates provide the most relevant images for your domain and also make it quick and easy to get your sites online without having to choose a template manually.
Reporting Updates: Stats Export, Stats Sorting, Bot Filtering
One area that customers often ask that we enhance is the stats section. Now, when you're reviewing your stats by date or site, you can choose to sort the stats in a variety of ways on any column. We also now provide a quick export of your stats in CSV format when viewing stats by site. This will be an area that we'll continue to improve to give our customers the data they need to make good decisions about their domains.
While we've always removed bot and spider traffic from our stats, we are getting increasingly aggressive on blocking and removing non-human traffic. We launched some of these new filters on June 24th and continue to add to our blocklist daily to add further user trust in our stats. Don't be alarmed if you have seen a decrease in visitor traffic starting on the 24th. You will notice that since this date, your click-through rates will have likely increased and ad revenue has not decreased. We have simply removed more junk traffic from your visitors and page views.
Upcoming Blog Series
We are often asked what a customer should do to increase traffic, or build their sites out further with customizations. Over the next few months, we will be writing a blog series focusing on building out a custom domain on the WhyPark platform. We'll walk through the process step-by-step, showing you how and why we've used certain methods, and we will track the revenue and visitor growth throughout this process.
Give Us Your Feedback...Win $100
We've just posted a 6 question survey to solicit customer feedback. One customer who completes the survey will be chosen at random to win $100 cash, paid through PayPal. To complete our survey, login to your WhyPark account and follow the link at the top of the My Sites dashboard.
For those customers in the US, have a safe and relaxing 4th of July weekend.
